Here is a reminder about our CHS Dance Conduct expectations from our Student Handbook:
DANCE CONDUCT
To create an enjoyable and safe environment at ASB-sponsored dances, the following expectations apply:
· All students attending the dance must have a current CHS ASB or student identification card and be currently enrolled
· All students attending the dance must be passing 5 of 8 classes and have attended school regularly with less than 15% missed days. Students will be informed if they are not able to attend due to either reason
· Once a student leaves a dance, they will not be allowed to reenter
· Dancing that creates potential harm or injury to self or others or is sexually provocative will not be allowed
· Students may not loiter in school parking lots or on campus during dances
· Dance Guest forms for visitors attending a CHS dance are available in the office.
· Visitors must be current students of a high school or Clarkston Alumni from the previous year
· Students and guests will not be allowed to enter one hour after the dance has begun.
Students who violate these expectations will be asked to leave the dance and risk forfeiting their privilege to attend future dances.
Guest Forms are available in the main office. Guest forms are due October 18th. The guest's school admin and guardian must sign the form so please give yourself plenty of time to get this form returned.

At approximately 9:00 this morning, Clarkston High School and Parkway Elementary School were placed on a “secure” building protocol due to planned police activity in the area. This means that the doors to the school are locked and students remain in the school with normal activities occurring. At no time were students in any danger and securing the building is done as a proactive safety measure whenever there is police activity near the school that may warrant securing the building.

Battle of Bridges tickets will be sold beginning Tuesday, Sept. 5, starting at noon and ending Friday, Sept. 8, at noon at our main office. We encourage everyone to buy early to alleviate wait times at the gate and easy admission. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for CHS students with an ASB card or senior citizens. Tickets may also be purchased at the gates at Bengal Field. Gates will open at 5:45 p.m. Clarkston enters on the east side.
