📢 Important District Update: Future 6th Grade Transition to Lincoln Middle School
The Clarkston School District is excited to share that beginning with the 2027–28 school year, all 6th grade students will attend Lincoln Middle School as part of a true 6th–8th grade middle school model.
This change will not affect students during the upcoming 2026–27 school year. The additional year will allow us to thoughtfully plan, prepare, and support students and families throughout the transition process.
Moving 6th grade to Lincoln Middle School will provide students with access to specialized supports, expanded academic opportunities, extracurricular activities, athletics, leadership experiences, and a learning environment specifically designed to meet the needs of early adolescents.
We understand families may have questions. Please review the attached Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document for additional information. We will continue to share updates and opportunities for engagement as planning progresses.
