Our district would like to encourage those who are 18 or older to register to
Vote imagevote. With a Washington State Driver’s License or State Identification card, it is quick and simple at VoteWA.gov. VoteWA allows you to register to vote, update your voter registration, view voters’ guides, check the status of your voter registration and get election results. If you do not have a driver’s license or state ID, you can register using your Social Security number and a paper registration form. If you prefer to register by mail, pick up a Washington State Voter Registration Form available at your school’s office or at the Asotin County Auditor’s Office. You can also download one here https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/print-voter-registration-forms.aspx and mail it to:

Darla McKay, Asotin County Auditor
PO Box 129
Asotin, WA  99402

Questions? Contact the auditor’s office at (509)243-2084.

Congratulations to the marching band for taking 2nd place out of 6 bands in their division this weekend in Yakima. Special congratulations to Macy Hardin for being recognized as the best drum major in our division!

Healthy Youth Survey

Our school is participating in the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey during fall 2021.  The survey will be given to grades 10 and 12.

The Healthy Youth Survey includes questions related to physical activity and diet, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, sexual behaviors, abuse, risk and protective factors, and access to school-based services.  Survey results are used by schools, communities, and state agencies to plan programs that support our youth and reduce their risks.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students' answers are anonymous.

Most schools are administering the survey online this year.  No privacy issues were identified in the E-survey pilot conducted in 2019. This year, schools and districts are being instructed to disable any recording, keystroke tracking, and video capture software on school-issued devices used to take the survey.  They are also going to instruct students to do the same on personal devices used to take the survey before they begin. If you use any software to monitor the device your student will use to take the survey, please turn it off before they begin to ensure their honest participation.

Please read the Parent and Student Notification Letter for more information about the Healthy Youth Survey.

Spectator Guidelines for Bantam Fans:

Hello Bantam Nation and Guests,
Friday we will play football Vs. PULLMAN at 7:00pm. Come out and support your Bantam Football Team. As a reminder with the new mandates, any outside sporting event with 500 or more spectators will require that everyone wears masks. It is anticipated that we will reach this number at all football games. Additionally, we continue to require masks for all spectators in attendance in INDOOR venues. We realize the wearing of masks is a polarizing topic.
The following statement from the WIAA demonstrates the importance of this issue.
“The Governor’s Office and State Department of Health will allow our extracurricular activities to continue so long as they trust that our member schools will enforce the mandate at each and every event. We urge you to work with your event staff to actively enforce and model these guidelines, without exception.”
Please assist us in continuing to support our student-athletes and spectators so that they may continue to be involved in a more normal high school experience.
Go Bantams!
